Description

The Pleiades also known as Seven Sisters, Seven Goats or simply M45, is one of the most famous astronomical objects: appears on ancient writings of several cultures as Persian, Chinese, Maya, Aztec, Greek, Indian, etc., is the "star of stars" in the Babylonian Star Catalogue, appears into the Odyssey, the Iliad, the Bible, and has your own car mark: "Subaru", Pleiades in Japanese.

Is the star cluster nearest to Earth and the most obvious at naked eye. It consists on very brilliant and young blue stars, still wrapped by a nebulous robe from wich were formed recently and blue lighted by them.

The names of seven stars most brilliants, from high to low brightness, are: Alcyone, Atlas, Elektra, Maia, Merope, Taygeta and Pleione.
