Description

NGC 3718 aka Arp 214 is a spiral Galaxy in Ursar Major. Mgn. 10.7

The companion galaxy NGC3729 is Mgn. 11

There are also some very small galaxies (5 in total) further up on NGC 3718.

These are called the "Hickson 56 Group" Mgn. 14 - 17, some 500 Mio Lightyears away.

Unfortunately blurred, because of tracking problems and decreasing seeing conditions.

Both of the main galaxies first detected by William Herschel 1789
