Description

Some believe NGC 5866 is one of the “missing” Messier objects. It’s one of two galaxies referred to as the Spindle Galaxy. Seen edge on, the dust lanes are very prominent with only a glow indicating the existence of the central bulge.

This is my first time posting re-processed Hubble data. I started with the image named “color_HST_9788_d1_ACS_WFC_F814W_F658N_sci.fit” from the Hubble Legacy Archive and applied a one shot color workflow in Pixinsight.
