Description

The weather has been cloudy in Northern California. This image is the best of 39 frames out of 94 five minute captures I took over three evenings: 6-11, 6-12, and 6-15. A lot of the subs were poor quality due to clouds. I have found that now that I'm autoguiding, and dithering, I lose almost 40% of my capture time to dithering when doing 5 minute frames. In order to acquire enough photons, I have been doing multiple night captures for a given target which has its challenges when stacking. Is it worth it? I'm trying to decide... But first I will look into what I can do to decrease the dithering time. Also, for this object I can probably do better at selecting the best frames, and maybe I'll do that too. Thanks for looking.
