Description

M20 never gets very high from Oregon and I have to shoot low over a lot of buildings through a boiling atmosphere toward the brightest part of the sky from where I set up. With such a narrow window for imaging, it's hard to get a really good result, but I still have to give it a try each year to see if I can get an image just a little better than I did last summer. This year, I gave it a try with the Hyperstar at F/2 almost as an after thought when I finished shooting another area of the sky just before shutting down. The Hyperstar was a bit out of adjustment so I had to crop the corners a bit (roughly a 2/3 crop.) This is the result of a very short total exposure of just little over 7 minutes and I'm surprised that the result came out as nice as it did. I love this area of the sky! There is just so much going on and the colors of the Trifid are hard to beat. Enjoy! C&C always welcome.

John
