Description

Draco Dwarf is a small satellite galaxy of the milky way, and was discovered only in 1954 on a pate of the POSS survey. Its distance is about 280.00 Lightyears from us, a bit more than the Magellan clouds. Contrary to them it counts just about 3 million stars, some 3x of globular M13. In backyard phoography one can reach only the brightest stars, the smaller ones are far too dim to be recorded over the large area. So no wonder. on the photograph you can only see the galaxy as a loose rotte of dim stars near center. In the far distant some galaxies just are shining through. Like with Morgensterns famous fence, you need to take away the gaps mentally.
