Description

Messier 13, the Hercules Cluster, is a globular cluster of about 300 000 stars and is almost 150 lightyears across. Like other globular clusters, it it in orbit around our Milky way galaxy, and is about 25 100 lightyears away from us.

This is my second image with my current imaging system and observatory, all of which are still in a commissioning process. In particular the imaging scope is still in need of final collimation and the guider needs better focus (contributing to guider jitter) -- both of which seem to be responsible for the poor star shapes.
