    Description

    This part of the milky way contains a 'hole', granting us a look through the Sagittarius-Carina spiral arm to the Norma arm, which is 6000 light year farther away. You can see it in this picture in the middle where there appears to be a 'star cloud', known as the Sagittarius Star Cloud, or M24. It's not a real star cluster, but merely stars that lie in the line of sight within the 'tunnel' towards the center of our Milky Way
