Description

Kemble's Cascade (or Kemble 1) is an asterism in the constellation Camelopardalis. It extends as an apparently straight chain of more than 20 stars of the fifth to tenth magnitude over a distance of about five lunar diameters across the sky. The end (or beginning) of the chain is marked by the open star cluster NGC 1502. The formation was named after amateur astronomer Lucian Kemble, who observed it in his 7x35 binoculars.

The image was taken under a Bortle 5 to Bortle 6 sky with Frankfurt Airport to the south. The moon was at 86%, so overall not very good conditions. Due to some problems with my mount and the tracking I could not use about 30% of the raw data for the final image.

Nevertheless, I hope you like it. Every comment is appreciated.
