Description

The first time and last time I imaged the Rosette, I was in the first few months of the hobby and using the ASI183MC Pro. Not my best work as I didn't understand the amp glow issue and how to effectively calibrate it out.

I think I did better this time and using the ASI533MC helped too, lol no amp glow!

The Rosette Nebula and the open cluster NGC 2244 in the center. Just over 5,200 light years from Earth, in the constellation Monoceros.

Description: Since I used a quad band narrowband filter, this is a my quasi "SHO" version using Pixinsight to separate the channels and renaming for Sulfur II, Hydrogen Alpha, and Oxygen III. Then using PixelMath to recombine into a new image version. This was basically a learning process to do this type of post processing with Pixinsight. I have done this using Astropixel Processor but wanted to give this a try too.
