Description

Imaging the Sculptor Galaxy early this morning - a lot of unusual challenges during calibration giving me strange results - finally endured and retook long flats & dark flats - recalibrated and things seemed to move along to this stage.

Took a mix of exposures from 120s to 900s to get more experience in how to and at some point determine if it is worth or perhaps more subs at max 300s or 600s. Guiding held up well.

Thanks for taking a look.

Sculptor Galaxy, also known as the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy, NGC 253, is an intermediate spiral galaxy and is considered a starburst galaxy, which means that it is currently undergoing a period of intense star formation. Distance 11.42 Milion LY.
