Description

I have always wanted to do a so-called moon HDR and this time I did it. However, no moon HDR in the conventional sense - with a full moon - but a moon HDR with 65% moon while the supposedly invisible side is also not yet completely illuminated, but only approx. 85 - 90%. This creates - in my opinion - a slightly more natural look.

The glow of the moon comes about through an image of an overexposure.

The moon itself is stacked 65% with 500 images, 85-90% with 600 images.

The background stars correspond approximately to the position of the 85-90% moon and were recorded on the day of the 65%. But the constellation is rotated.

The moon itself is in color, so the minerals on the moon come into their own better. However, I only pulled up the color slightly, I also find it looks a bit more natural.

Data:

1100 images total of moon

Canon EOS6Da

Telescope service 115mm Apo @ F7

Stars: 25 x 1 second at ISO3200 from the balcony.

No darks, flats bias.

Used software:

Astropixel Processor, PIPP, Autostakkert 3 Beta, Photoshop, AstraImage, Pixinsight 1.8

I hope you like it and again:

This is a composit :-)
