Description

NGC 7129 is a reflection nebula in Cepheus that is also a place of active star formation. The red, clouds are Herbig-Haro objects, thought to be protostars. I really like how the dust is illuminated in some places by stars that are hiding behind it. The whole nebula is embedded in a molecular cloud that becomes barely visible in this image. It extends far beyond the frame, and I'm still working on showing more from it in another revision.
