Description

One of the most famous nebulae in the Sagittarius star field region of the night sky, the Omega Nebula lies approximately 6,000 light years from Earth. It is quite large at 15 light years in diameter and over 1.6e33 kg in mass. It is one of the most active star-forming regions in our galaxy and a beautiful HII region to image!

Having worked with this image for some time I feel that it is one of the best I have ever produced. The background is right where I'd like it to be and the stars are nice and round (and for the most part un-bloated).

I'd like to request candid feedback and constructive criticism from you so that I can continue to get better (I promise you won't hurt my feelings)! While I may not be able to improve the darkness of the night sky in my backyard I'd like to continue to improve my technique! Thanks in advance and clear skies!
