Description

An attempt at "lucky imaging" the Eskimo Nebula with very short exposures.

Five seconds look like a good enough compromise to achieve enough light per exposure at 690 mm focal length with a 150 mm aperture.

More focal length would have been required to capture more details, but then exposure time should have been increased too, moreover with more difficulty at tracking.

Albeit I did not collect much light because the Eskimo was just an opportunity target while I was waiting for the main course of the night, and perhaps something can be done multiplying the integrated light by 5 or 10 times, I really think this is a subject that requires more focal length, and hence more aperture, and hence an heavier mount ... and hence something I haven't got.
