Description

This is the first version of M45 that I really feel worthy of sharing; the last time I photographed this popular star cluster was when I first started out in this hobby like everyone else's pick. The Pleiades in my opinion is one of the trickiest deep-sky objects to photograph and edit due to the brightness of the seven sisters themselves, making it hard to reveal the nebulosity behind them without completely over-intensifying the stars themselves. In a Bortle 7 light pollution backyard, a lot of integration time was required to capture the interstellar winds behind the stars. Using the cheap 80mm achromatic scope I have yields terrible chromatic aberration with such a bright star cluster such as M45, therefore a lot of work was done to make the stars look better in post-processing.
