Description

After months of bad weather here in the Vienna/Austria area, I was finally able to do a first test of both the Minitrack LX3 and the Tamron 35/1.4mm on an astromodded Canon EOS550D (Rebel T2i) .

Unfortunately it was a windy night with rather bad seeing, clouds passing over repeatedly and - on top of everything - extremely light sky background due to light pollution.

Ultimately, there were only 24min of usable data and it took some effort to somewhat reduce the gradients (partly caused by passing clouds) and making at least part of this gigantic emission nebula complex show up (given the short exposure), fiddling in DPP/DSS/Fitswork and Gimp. Still, in the end, for a first try with this highly mobile setup, I'm quite happy.
