The data for this image were provided by Heaven's Mirror as an introduction to their new telescope, a CDK 24". Despite the paucity of data, it's just an example of the facility's capability; the image had excellent detail when processed aggressively.  The structured shell around the galaxy was an unexpected reveal of this sparse data set. The central band indicates that the galaxy presents itself edge-on, but the shell with some concentric structures must then extend above and below the galactic plane. Revealing this detail is part of the aggressive processing that caused some sacrifice of star quality.

In any case, Martin Pugh's new telescope appears to offer remarkable capabilities for its subscribers.

(BTW, I am not affiliated with Heaven's Mirror; these are just my opinions.)
