Description

This is a rarely imaged dark nebula 500 LY away in the constellation Chamaeleon, only 12 degrees from the south celestial pole. This region is full of interesting objects. The blue reflection portion is known as Cederblad 111, below to the left of it is a bright red nebula called GN 11.07.3 an odd object with no obvious illuminating star. Above and to the right of Ced111 is another embedded reflection nebula known as Cederblad 110. There are also a good number of small galaxies far off in the background.

Only 5.5h in total, I want to add more data next new moon.

Imaged from the Astronomical Society of Victorias Leon Mow Dark Sky Site
