Description

Reprocessed my Rosette data using some new techniques (thanks dheilman)

Captured 26 frames of Ha and 7 frames of OIII on February 10th, and an additional 13 frames of OIII on February 21st.  Each is 300s at ISO 139 Bin 1x1.

This was before I got my autofocuser, so I had to manually focus between Ha and OIII.  Now that I have it, I'll have to go back to get some more data, as well as some SII and L.

Stacked Ha and OIII separately in DSS, using one of my cleaner Ha frames as a reference frame.  20 darks, 20 flats, 30 dark flat and bias.

In Photoshop:
Created a starless frame using Ha.  Used StarXTerminator to remove stars after leveling.  Did 3 high-pass filters of varying intensity, combined them and added as soft light.  Further adjusted levels and curves gently.  Created an RGB image, used Ha as red and OIII as green and blue.  Further adjusted Ha and created a luminance layer on top.  Did a gentle high-pass filter.  Used Match Color to bring out more color.  Slight levels adjustment.  Finished with a Topaz DeNoise AI to reduce noise.
