Description

Here is the catch on the morning of May 6. A race against the clock between the setting of the moon to benefit from a sufficiently dark sky and the rising of the sun. 40 minutes of exposure with RGB filters. It was the last opportunity to be able to take it like this during this phase of the moon. It seems to decrease in intensity although still brilliant, so we do not know if we will find it still majestic thereafter.

PI Workflow used for processing with the best 40 RGB frames (background sky) between 5 and 6h15 AM

CometAlignment for comet-only image

ImageIntegration with comet aligned images (c_d_r_ca)

CometAlignment again with registered images for stars-only image

ImageIntegration with stars-only images (c_d_r_stars)
