Description

This is a reprocess of the collaboration data with Adam. After he pointed me to a site showing some of the objects I obliterated with my nr on the last run, I decided to take a much more careful run at the data, but emphasizing the details we were able to capture with those tiny scopes. Along with VDB 152/Barnard 175 the giant Bok Globule, there is also HH450 which we were able to barely resolve in the upper right of the VDB152. There also are much more defined bands of Ha running along the top right of the Bok in this image that were captured in both the lum and Ha data. The bands of a supernova explosion are thought to have the potential to collide with the Globule at some point in the future, although this is not definitive. Finally, there is a small and distant galaxy just resolved between the HH object and Ha bands, but many, many light years distant. As before, much appreciation goes out to David and Adam for collaborating on this image! As always, C&C's are very much appreciated!

This is a result of almost 30 hours of data. I was able to drive to a blue zone to grab a little over 10 hours L,R,G,B and couple frames of Ha, while Adam was able to grab almost twice as much data from a yellow zone. This data was a pleasure to process! Still a tiny bit noisy, but mostly wonderful. I'm still struggling to understand how to deal with very undersampled stars, but I feel this was a step in the right direction. Some of this data was collected from our WO Star71's and 8300/814 chips with the other big chunk coming from my Tak 106n and 683.
