Description

NGC7000, The North American Nebula and the Pelican Nebula. About 15 hours of integration. I did this last year as a huge mosaic and wanted to try the new scope/new filters on it. Stars are RGB, the rest of the nebula is narrowband (Ha-SII-OIII).

NGC7000 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus the Swan near the star Deneb. It's readily visible in small telescopes and binoculars. It's about 2,200-ly from us and it's shape is produced by the ionizing effects from near-by stars.
