Description

NGC6960, the Witch's Broom from my backyard in heavy light pollution.

Sooooo.... A few nights ago, I was making my first light test with my autoguider on NGC6960. As usual, clouds showed up and kinda ruined my night, but I was able to salvage 40 minutes of data. When I looked at the raw pictures, I was surprised that the blue filaments were visible. Since last summer when I started using a light pollution filter (Astronomik CLS-CCD), I found out that it kinda killed the blue signal. I was pretty bumed, but kept using it since it gave me a huge improvement on the backgroud sky. Apparently, with 300s exposures, blue and green are finally showing up on my raw files! Yeah!

40 minutes of exposure weren't enough to make a good job, so I also used about 90 minutes of exposure that I gathered last September.

It's not perfect, but enjoy!

Clear skies!
