Perseides RADAR echoes

Description

Perseides Radar Echoes, received at my backyard.

These images show the radio waves bounced by the Perseides debris in the frequency domain.
(Doppler effect)
A), B) meteor towards my direction, then diving into upper atmosphere
C) a chain of meteor debris tangential to my direction and diving

I receive a bounced signal if a Perseide object is at the intersection of both lines of sight : emitter signal direction and my antenna direction.

The bounced signal could also origin from any other space object.
This could even be a satellite or the ISS ( very strong signal, up to 25 Khz doppler over a few minutes). Moon also, frequency shift over hours.

Equipment :

- 2m Band Yagi Antenna,
Antenna directed at a strong continues wave (CW) emitter located a few 100 kilometers away (over the horizon radar) antenna elevation ca. 6°
- 2m Band / 10m Band down-converter
- PERSEUS Software Defined Receiver (SDR) tuned to remote emitter frequency
- PERSEUS Software running on Windows XP
