Description

M33 is a fairly easy find, and I found it fairly low on the horizon as I want to image up to the meridian and then bring in the scope so I can water Mapleton Lateral Observatory (my back yard!). I can see M33 with 1 sec exposures in both the guide scope and the imaging scope. This is my first use of the coma corrector+focal reducer combination. Occasional light wind. Still some smoke in the air, but not as much as last night so it is getting better. Medium dither, settling at 0.5. Cooler power supply still pending, so I'm starting the run at 20 °C and planning to use a bad pixel map again. There’s still what appears to be coma on the left side of the image. I wonder if my collimation was a bit off?

In the revision I just boosted the saturation another 35% in CS6.
