Description

Messier 92 (M92) is a globular cluster located in the constellation Hercules. The cluster lies at a distance of 26,700 light years from Earth and has an apparent magnitude of 6.3. Its designation in the New General Catalogue is NGC 6341.

NOTE: The original image was taken @ Full Moon on 2015-08-29 making post processing more challenging. Had SGP set for 45 frames, but got clouded out around midnight, so I lost 20 additional frames. 25 x 300" @ ISO1600.

NOTE: The final image was redone on 2015-09-06, 31 x 300" @ ISO800 instead of ISO1600 to reduce the noise and out from under the full moon.

NOTE: This is also a FOV reference between the SW100ED (900mm) and AT65EDQ (420mm).
