Description

Ic 410 in narrow-band, using the Hubble palette SHO

The nebula IC 410, commonly called Tadpoles is located about 12,000 light years away in the constellation Auriga. This is a young star cluster, where starlight ionizes the surrounding gas, making it glow. Dust compounds and a gas more dense and cold, the tadpoles are around 10 light-years long and are sites of star formation in power.
