Description

Wanted to get one final wide field shot of the Milky Way before it set for the summer. This will probably be the last chance I will get to image it before the core is too low to image.

I am very happy with how this came out. This is my final image of 3 that were all acquired on the same night, and all three were edited tonight as well as I try to learn PixInsight.

The original image of this had *very* bad light pollution from the bottom of the, to about half way. So bad you couldn't even really distinguish the Milky Way on the bottom half of the image. After much tinkering, I think I managed to remove most enough of it. The only thing that I don't like about this image is the clouds in. Unlike my other Milky Way core shot I took this same night, the clouds here are not "defined", and they're spread far out. They just look like haze in the image which is kind of upsetting, but I'll take it.

I just got PixInsight yesterday, editing these three images has helped me seem to get *some* sort of grasp on what I am doing, but I have a lot left to learn. Any tips you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, and I hope you like it!
