Description

Please do note that this image is only 24' in integration time, and was taken with an unmodified camera (with much less sensitivity in the H-alpha range). Several factors affected this, that was supposed to be a 20x3', or 1 hour in integration. Amongst these, the most noticible were some cirrus-clouds, that dominated the sky for about 30'.

I hope to try again this object next year, with more integration and perhaps guiding, or modded camera. However, for the given conditions, I'm more than happy with the results for now.

Constructive criticism, comments and suggestions are more than welcome in the comments section.

Taken from Rural Skies (Bortle 3-4), from Cristina, MG, Brazil (22ºS latitude). Thanks for looking.

Date and Time: July 10th, 2015, at 21:40h.

Lens: Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 (non-VC), at 200mm and f/3.5

Exposure Detail: 8x180s or 8x3', total only 24 minutes!
