Description

NGC104 is the 2nd most massive cluster second only to Omega Centauri. It is around 16000 light years away in the constellation Tucane. Apparently its called 47 Tucane because for a while it was considered to be the 47th brightest star of that constellation, before it was identifed as a globular cluster. Its so dense its pretty much naked eye for observation. For a really good write up, try this.
