Description

The Asteroid Vesta is the brightest object in this scene.

With a diameter of 516 km, Vesta is the second largest Asteroid in the Asteroid Belt.

Mag. 5

The relative high brightness of Vesta is caused by it's very high albedo of 0.4

Remark: Vesta was discovered in 1807 by Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers in Bremen.

( only 10 km distance from my place !)

B) : less aggressive background reduction to make NGC 191 visible (mag 14)

Unfortunately the plate-solving only worked in A) Original. NGC 191 was indicated there.
