Description

The SMC is a dwarf galaxy thought currently to be passing by but which has had its formed disturrbed by our interaction with it.

Its around 7K light years across and 200k light years away, observable from the Southern Hem naked eye at a dark site. Imaged using a Canon 60DA and the Nifty 50 kit lens in early October 2015.

North is NGC104, the 2nd largest visible globular cluster.
