Description

This final image is a combination of two images of the moon eclipse 2015 (at the totality),

taken at two different locations some 200 km apart. (equates to an aspect angle of 0.03°)

A) Original taken by myself at the town Syke, Germany. Telescope: Newton Dobson 12"

B) Image taken by Gotthard Stuhm, at the town Flensburg, Germany. Telescope: Newton 12"

C) is the resulting offset (3D relief) after aligning both images and some processing

I left the hue of both images before subtracting, as that does reveal more (false color) details in the relief, especially within the bright areas.

The relief effect also remains when only processing luminance data, just not that impressive.

I found the result very interesting, so I asked Gotthard if he would agree to publish it at Astrobin.
