Description

North is up in this image. Lower left in this image is the globular cluster M15. The exposures for this image are somewhat long for a globular cluster in an attempt to capture the nebulosity to the west (right) of M15 - it is barely detectable in this image. Also in this image are a number of background galaxies - the brightest of which is NGC 7068 on the right edge of the image These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image. M15 is approximately 33,600 light years distant from Earth. Horizontal FOV is 85'
