Description

The Westbrook Nebula (CRL 618) is a young protoplanetary nebula that is only about 200 years old. It is in memory of William E. Westbrook who died on June 4, 1975. The central star is undergoing a massive ejection of gas and dust at speed of up to 200 km/s, creating this protoplanetary nebula.
