Description

Abell 2666 is a cluster of galaxies that appears to lie inside the great square of Pegasus from our point of view. Its brightest member is NGC 7768 at magnitude 12.3. There are about 34 cluster members spread out over a field of view that is larger than my image. The 15th magnitude galaxy PGC 72600 at top center has a faint tidal tail that just shows up in this image.

I would really like to know what the small blue dot is that appears to the right of NGC 7768 and 7766, if anyone can identify it. It has the looks of a foreground planetary nebula, but it could also be a small galaxy that's unusually blue.
