Description

The Andromeda Galaxy is a spiral galaxy located 2.5 million light years away in the constellation of Andromeda. It is the largest member of the Local Group, containing approximately 1 trillion stars. This image was captured over six nights from my home observatory at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

110 x 360 seconds, ISO 800 (11 hours total exposure time)



181 darks, 100 flats, 300 bias



Gear: Canon 450D (full-spectrum modified), Explore Scientific ES80ED 80mm Apochromatic Triplet @ f/4.9 384mm, Televue 0.8X Reducer/Flattener, Hutech LPS D1, Orion Atlas EQ-G, Orion SSAG/50mm
