Description

NGC 2805 is a spiral galaxy in Ursa Major. It lies around 79 million light years away. Apparent magnitude is 11 and size is 6.3 x 4.8 arc minutes. The two galaxies at the lower right are NGC 2814 (smaller) and NGC 2820 (larger).

Date: Oct 2020-Mar 2021

Location: New Ringgold PA

Optics: Celestron EdgeHD 1100 on Paramount MX

Camera: ZWO ASI1600MM

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm on Paramount ME

Camera: SBIG STL11000 for Lum

Guiding: Celestron OAG with ZWO ASI174 Mini and STL-11000 Self guiding

Exposure: LRGB: L:91x10 R:56x10 min, G:35x10 min, B:38x10 min for a total of 36.7 hrs (220 subs at avg of 600 sec)

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop. I gathered a lot of data on this object but getting good data from times of good seeing was a challenge.
