Description

A planetary first light for the ZWO ASI174MM-Cool. Yes, it works just fine as a planetary cam, but the cooling functionality is really not needed.

Shot on the morning of 02-DEC in average seeing for the Midwestern United States. This was a straight RGB combination to try to get a realistic view. In the past I've used RRGB to boost the detail. Is it considered cheating?

The larger pixels of the 174 give me access to higher framerate with the 8" scope, of course, at the sacrifice of resolution. With the seeing the way it was, it was a fair tradeoff. I think I'll be retesting this on a night with better conditions.
