Description

An early morning Jupiter with a borrowed C8 and the new ASI120MM with a 2.5x barlow. Set up the night before and set my alarm for 5am. First of the shots that I got. Just got a set of 1.25" LRGB filters, so this is my first test with the combination. Stacked 500 of 2000 frames each of RGB in AutoStakkert, derotated in WinJupos, and sharpened and adjusted in Pixinsight. The processing steps are still new to me, but this is a lot better than the Jupiter image I attempted last winter with my 4" refractor!

Version B/C/D: This image is from video taken 1/2 hour later than the first. You can definitely see the difference in locations of the red spot. More prominent in this version. Stacked a little differently, but the bigger change is due to dropping the brightness to darken up the colors. C has a little (more) green reduction. D has a little less red in the bands.
