Description

On some nights between August and November 2015 I trained my Eos6d with Samyangs wonderful 135mm at f/2 towards Cepheus. A lot of objects are contained, prominent Iris nebula, Ghost nebula under it, reflection nebula vdB143 on bottom, to the right the flying bat Sh2-129 (no trace of Outters 4 here), above it dark Barnard 150 the seahorse nebula, and right almost top the pair: open cluster NG6939 and firewheel galaxy NGC6946. A little above center you may detect 10,6mag galaxy NGC6951. While there is no catalog number available for the object as a whole, the field is strongly dominated by a complex of dust clouds, which extend far beyond the picture frame.

Note the little ring artefact around Mira star T Cephei, a little under the Iris, it stands out even on the single raw pics, and can be seen only around this star. I know from another photographer, that he also got it on his photos with a different optical train, so while it is surely an artefact of imaging, it must also be connected somehow to the properties of this special star.
