Description

Deep image of the comet C/2014 S2 when close to Polaris.

The faint Polaris Nebula is spread throughout this image. It is composed of dust high above the galactic pole and faintly reflects back light from the stars of our galaxy and well as glowing a faint red light re-emitted from trapped IR light.
