Description

Here we have my version of the flaming star. There are a few versions out now, its that time of year so I have tried to put my own subtle twist on it.

Some devices will struggle with the colour range but when viewed on a normal monitor you will not have any colour burn (as I see on my mobile devices). Hope you enjoy.

Rev B - Sorting Colour Calibration LG monitor now aligned with Rev A so embedded profile from monitor profile now working.

Also for those who like to view pictures on your mobile devices, I was reading up on ICC profiles and gamut coverage on devices (and yes this bit is obvious but.....) on a lot of devices they are defaulted to dynamic or similar. This exaggerates the colour range and causes colour burn if you look in settings (my Samsung phone and tablet for example) have a display option for photos. Switch to that and the image is shown with more accurate gamut, all the colour burn previously seen under dynamic is removed. Made a huge difference on my devices!

IC 405 (also known as the Flaming Star Nebula, SH 2-229, or Caldwell 31) is an emission/reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga, surrounding the bluish star AE Aurigae. It shines at magnitude +6.0. It surrounds the irregular variable star AE Aurigae and is located near the emission nebula IC 410, the open clusters M38 and M36, and the naked-eye K-class star Hassaleh. The nebula measures approximately 37.0' x 19.0', and lies about 1,500 light-years away. It is believed that the proper motion of the central star can be traced back to the Orion's Belt area. The nebula is about 5 light-years across - Wikipedia
