Description

The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift–Tuttle. The Perseids are so called because the point from which they appear to come, called the radiant, lies in the constellation Perseus.

On August 13th and 14th, 2015 I took several exposures focusing on two areas of the sky, The Summer Triangle and the Northern Region of the Milky Way. I stacked 40 x 30 sec for the Milky Way background and then layered in the Persieds at their respective locations where captured. Due to rolling clouds, I did not capture as many as I hoped. But when the sky was clear, it was quite the display and 2 nights I will always remember.
