Description

I had to capture the subs under less than optimal conditions, ie hazy weather and when the object was low in the sky. I was essentially testing my new MESU 200 mount's tracking.

I've created a Pseudo Luminance, by combining long and short exposures of various lengths and various filters as below:

Luminance - 12x 900s, 10x 30s, 50x 10s

Red – 9x 600s, 30x 10s

Green – 14x 600s, 24x 10s

Blue – 21x 600s, 35x 10s

These frames were captured on the following nights:

August 16, 17,18,19,20,21, September 4, 5, 24, 25

The image scale is 1.76” per pixel. So it’s not a high res image. However, I’m very pleased with how the numerous tiny galaxies in the image are showing their details. There are some artifacts in the L subs caused by a reflection from the OAG mirror which I fixed in the RGB shots. I spot healed those in Photoshop.
