EM-11 and EM-200

Description

I recently bought a Takahashi EM-11 mount to serve as a lighter-weight companion for my EM-200.

Before I bought the EM-11, I could not find any comparison pictures of the two mounts, so I decided to post this for the benefit of anyone who wanted to compare them. Note that the black plastic cap over the polar alignment scope is about the same size on each mount.

Also, be aware that the counterweight shaft is the same diameter between the two mounts so you can share counterweights. Furthermore, the EM-11 base is 100% compatible with the EM-200 tripod top.

The weight difference (about 15kg vs 9kg) made a significant difference to my back and neck.
