      Description

      Hi all.

This time Aldo and I did some shots to the Rosette, using the C11 at full focal length and the Ha filter.

We shot the north western section of the nebula, in which are some interesting dark nebulae.

What a surprise when I clearly saw, impressed in one of those black tendrils (on the top of the longest one in this picture), the silhouette of what resembles a screaming lady, that I called "the Erinys" (see wikipedia to learn more about this mythological deity).

      Fascinating!

      Well, back on tech details.

Luminance was taken by Aldo and me with the C11 in Ha light. The seeing was quite awful that night: FWHM 2.8 arcsec...

Colours are from an old picture taken by me with the Equinox in pseudoRGB (Ha-synthetic Green-OIII).

      Hope you like it!

      Ciao
