Description

I live in a red zone with a couple of white streetlights pointed directly at my backyard, not the best conditions for imaging I'd think! But a clear night let me get out there and try to image something. (I was able to put up something to block out the streetlights from shining directly into my scope though)

I recently bought a Lumicon UHC filter for visual work but I wondered what would happen if I used it to image! It definitely lowered the overall "skyglow" and made the vignetting from the scope and other things easier to process out (Still haven't really figured out flat frames yet...)

I'd say the UHC filter really kinda made the image worse, and the impact that it has on the color of the image is just too much for me to continue using it. At least with an unmodded DSLR
