Description

For my first LRGB image, I virtually traveled to southern hemisphere since I still like to experiment with PixInsight and we still have to deal with cloudy nights here. First, I was wondering if these 'dots' are all real stars since I am unfamiliar with the southern, clear sky. So I compared a couple of samples in each and every detail with that of other images (of course made with totally different gear) available on the internet, and found exactly the same patterns and fine details in them. Yes, I feel like a beginner here, but remember that I am from Kodak TP 2415 era ;-). Image processing turns out to be different from that of DSRL, but was still very easy to follow. The used gear is 'in the cloud' and 'borrowed' in this case, and for imaging sessions like this, one can relax indoors behind the desk. Finally, I think I'm ready to extend my equipment and look for a CCD camera.

Imaging details:

5 x 60s L

5 x 60s R (2x2 binning)

5 x 60s G (2x2 binning)

5 x 60s B (2x2 binning)

I used 'automatic calibration'.
